This was there in my mind for quite some time. Also there had been one request for this from PlayDotA.Com community as well. I just realized what I had in mind.


Queen of Pain from a different perspective altogether! :P


Cartoon Version of Anub'arak was something I never thought I'd make. But after making Weaver I realized that it was possible to pull this one off as well.


Web has always been Broodmother's trademark skill. I could not stop myself.


I leave this one to you to figure out why.


I wanted him to be stylish, So I had to make him like this. Though I know most of you still prefer the classic Nevermore.


Self Explanatory. These fellows are always going Ka-Frickkin-BOOM!


Dazzle was difficult. Till the time I selected his third skill for this illustration. I had been wondering if this still suits him though. :)

Hello again people, Sorry I have been extremely busy lately.
Still, I managed to make three wallpapers, Hope you like them all.



Weaver's Ultimate was initially in the thought process while making this wallpaper, However I quickly realized that Shukuchi was the most used skill and the trademark skill of the Weaver. But it unfortunately it isn't so easy to illustrate. I did my best and Hope you like it.



Okay, I broke the rules, but so what?



March of the Machines is undoubtedly the best recognizable skill of the Tinker. Despite the Laser and Rockets being its trademark skills. Dare to argue?

Okay, Here is another set of Six Cellphone wallpapers, I hope you people like this stuff. Meanwhile, I have got a great feedback on PlayDotA.Com community that encourages me to keep up this work.

Psionic Trap was obvious skill I'd have chosen for illustrating Lanaya. It's her trademark skill, apart from Meld. Still, I think I have done nicely.


The Wisps that whirl around this cute little girl always remind me of butterflies. And I think people will agree to me on this.


Nothing is simpler than a deadly Katana that illustrates Yurnero properly.


I was initially very confused between the glaive and the dagger, I think I chose the best option.


I don't really know what ran through my mind when I made him like this, And I'm still wondering.


Sniper was difficult. I wanted to illustrate him with a Gun, but I finally settled only on the Scope. :P


Remade Zeus with a lot better Concept this time. This really makes him the master of Lightning.

Here we go with some more, Keep on rocking people...
I really love making these. With this batch of Six wallpapers, we now have about 30 Wallpapers in our little collection. Hope I'm not the only one who has all of them in my Cellphone and keep changing wallpapers everyday to make other Gamers fume with jealousy. :P


This was also a real difficult, I had to take care that it should not look too 'Razor'-ish. At the same time, the bolt must also not be stronger that Zeus's one. Based of Thunder Charge skill.



This was tricky. One single misalignment can ruin the entire beauty of this illustration. I had to correct the alignment several times to get this.



Treading on Lina was a real pressure. DotA fans would never forgive me if I messed this thing up. But I think I have not messed anything up for now!



I had this in mind for a long time. Nothing describes Ogre Magi more than what I have already done.



The reason I waited to do Pudge for so long, despite him being my personal favorite, was that I was debating to myself whether or not only 'chain' would be enough.

Here's another pack of wallpapers for Cellphones. I came up with Six this time. I really hope you people would love them...


Zeus was easy. But since I used up the Storm Could of Razor, I had to redesign a really strong looking Lightning Bolt for Zeus. I think it worked out.



I know I broke the rules, but Furion is so handsome that I think You'll agree to me on this. :P



Moon was already used up for Balanar. Eclipse was I could think of.



This was the best illustration I came up with for Spectre. I think really suits her. If anyone has better suggestion, please comment.



Although Mirana's trademark skill is Arrow, Starfall was much simpler to execute. I think I'll keep arrows for someone else, at least for the time being. :)



This was hard. Many times I discarded the whirlwind for being too 'windy'. I think I finally got it right.

Hey all, To celebrate DotA 2, More 240 x 320 Cellphone Wallpapers are up for the grabs!
Alchemist's Concept is directly picked off his ultimate - Chemical Rage.

Night Stalker was fairly easy. Just make it an illusion of Day turning into a bloody night. That was fairly easy, except the part where to get the gradient proper.

Lycan was fairly straightforward, Wolf's paws placed one ahead of each other.

This girl was all about frost. Nothing would be more creative than a simple snowflake.

Ish'kafel was very difficult to pull off. He's very versatile, and all his skills seem very random at start. I was caught off between various ideas till I decided to put him the same was as I did for Enigma. A simple art that can be interpreted as Vacuum, Ion Shell and Surge as well.

Gondar was easy. His very first and trademark skill - Shuriken Toss - was too irresistible. I could not stop myself at all.

It's not easy to show off water or a warship without omitting details. So, his other skill - X marks the Spot was chosen for this Illustration.

Panda = Oriental Asia = Yin Yang. They are inseparable. Dare to argue on this one?

Fairy Wings almost killed me. I had to correct the alignment and rotations several times to make them look 'Organic' as they should be.

Huge Black Storm Cloud was easiest as one can get for this guy. Too easy, Meh.

Much more thoughts have gone by, before I realized that it was this simple!

As straightforward as Lycan. Really.

DotA 2 - 240 x 320 Wallpapers - Minimal

Well guys, All of you know now, DotA 2 is coming. It's been one of my very favorite mods and I think I should do something to celebrate it's debut as a standalone game.

So, All I ended up in doing is to make exclusive Cellphone wallpapers! I kept the minimalistic approach while designing them, and I think you'll like the style as well. The six wallpapers set is here, Enjoy!


Enigma's Concept was pretty tough. All his skills are used in various situations and there's no trademark skill. He is versatile and awesome. But his three skills can be more of less illustrated with a similar vector art.

Y'mir is the newly added hero, With the trademark finisher Ultimate - Walrus Punch. That's all we need to make a good artwork.

Invoker's signature is his Runes, I had to work very hard to design runes that also resembled the rune names and the Hotkeys that are used most.

Simple Enough, Leoric is one tough guy who keeps coming back from the dead. What would be a better representation?

Clockwork is the trademark! BTW, Don't yell about the spelling. If DotA says 'Clockwerk' you stick to it!

Brand New Look, And A New Begining . . .

Hey people.
After a long time, I have finally returned to my blog again. I'm terribly sorry for the ones who were anticipating more things about Shady's Worlds and were disappointed by lack of activity. But don't worry, You'll definitely see a few updates within the coming week or two.

The first thing you'd have noticed is the brand new look of the blog, I love this look and wish to keep it for a long time. (Until I find even better one, Of course)

And now since this blog is back from the dead, You can expect some new things. Although my college and parents try their best to keep me occupied, I'd definitely find time to update stuff on this blog.


Nerdy But Lost Neurons : A Biasing Of Opinions Concept

For many times over, I have considered how exactly any individual get biased towards any thing. As an experiment, I'd consider three Factors.. Base Biasing, Temporal Biasing Factors and Distance.

I am attempting to simulate the Basing of a person, flow of logic and possible outcome over which place to go to hang out / take a walk or whatever. The places are indicated by Colors, RED, GREEN and BLUE.

Base Biasing
- The Base Biasing of you towards anything. These ratings are from 0 to 4, with 0 indicating a total or complete dislike and 4 indicating maximum favor. Although, these factors play a crucial role in making a judgement or decision, other factors can vastly outweigh them. This is a classic situation where you sometimes have to go and hang out at a place you honest don't like.

Temporal Biasing
- These factors have ratings from 0 to 9, almost twice as the Base Biasing Factors. I leave these factors to dynamically adjust themselves, and they get added or subtracted with each iteration or destination reached.
- The classic thing about these factors is the way they update themselves, Reaching a particular destination would not mean a sudden rise or spike in the ratings. But it's rather a slow / gradual process. If the decision is made against Base Biasing Factors, the increment in ratings may be even extra gradual. Additionally, the distance factors also affect the increment / decrement.
- The funny thing is, how effectively it simulates the human nature. Example, if you are made to visit a place that you initially did not like, you'd eventually start developing a liking towards that place. Although it may not change your original biasing. You still, like the place that you originally liked.

Distance Factors
- These are not the ratings, it's simply a comparison or whatever is closer or further. Or relatively closer etc. The distance factors can be overcome with sufficiently large amount of Base + Temporal Biasing towards a location. However, the less distance affects positively over the decision that may go against a particular place.
- In summary, the Distance Factor is more of the Multiplication than Addition, still, it's effects are great depending on the values, where existing or computed. Simply meaning, whether you just came up with it randomly, or at least given some logical thought.

Shady's Worlds - Engine Demo

The Engine Demo for my upcoming game - Shady's Worlds -
The Unconventional Platformer / Puzzle flick will definitely blow your minds with it's unique mechanics and graphic style.


The gameplay focuses on a little guy - Shady. An inter-dimensional superhero with no powers but a super-brain and noble mind. Shady's adventures begin to free the enslaved worlds from the evil and restore law, order and peace.

Of course, that's what the introduction tells you, but it doesn't tell you the experience of the gameplay! Hope this video can give you the brief idea!



Time Limit : Brainstorm

The TIME-LIMIT is the simple theme and concept to build upon. However, it isn't really easy to execute. Many games have been constructed around this idea and each time it takes a variety of ways, bizarre forms and yet appeals to every single of us with the single, addicting element - the rush, hurry, speed and adrenaline.

However, making one based on it is totally crazy, and difficult as hell. As many games have been constructed on it. Its almost impossible to be original. Somewhere, or something would definitely overlap.

Honestly, I don't really care about overlapping. All I want is a unique concept that could turn things really well. Of course, I suppose I can handle it. And this is the place where I would keep posting about all the ideas I might get.

SONAR: New Ideas, Updates, Brainstorms

Well, as per many suggestions and comments. I'll jot down a few updates that will be implemented in near future. (As I get free from MiRRors of Fate)

Updates Planned

- A Dock Screen
This is where most of the other activities take place, You will be able to select your ship from the available ones. Plus, you will be able to individually upgrade each ship using the upgrade points.

- Multiple Ships
As you must have guessed by now, You get variety of ships to choose from. Each ship has its own pros and cons. Plus each ship can be upgraded individually. The upgrades are consistent and will be available throughout the game. Each ship is unique about which upgrades as well.

- Upgrades
They will not be traditional upgrades like increasing Health / Armour or Energy Capacity. But the gear that you must purchase for the ship. Each ship can be upgraded to have number of gears. Of course, some ships offer a wider variety of upgrades than other ones.

List of Upgrades
- Sonar Beacon
Replaces the default Sonar Field that the ship has, once fired, the beacon shoots out and deploys itself after a short duration. Once deployed, it emits the Sonar Field from itself, that increases in intensity over time. The beacon can be picked back up again, and used again. Once beacon is deployed, The ship reverts to using the Sonar Field again until its picked up.

- Sonar Cluster
Upgrades the Sonar Pulse to simultaneously release 3 pulses. The additional pulses are not counted while grading. The angle of projections can be varied by Mouse-wheel or PgUp / PgDown keys. Thus, giving players a smartest move available so far.

- Nuclear Mini-Reactor
Allows much faster regeneration of Energy. Not all ships can be equipped with this. The only drawback of this upgrade is if the Energy falls below 20%, the reactor would overload causing damage to the ship till energy is back over 20% again.

Sonic Cannon
- Sonic Cannon is available to only a few ships. It doesn't reveal much, plus consumes a tremendous amount of energy. But the only advantage is, you can destroy mines and other hazards with it. It does not replace any of ships existing gear.

That's it so far, I'll update this list whenever I find time / ideas.

MiRRor of Fate : Revealed and Released

Well, Hello again.

I come within a week since my last release, with a new unique puzzle platformer concept. The game which is made for Mario Fan Games Galaxy Forums as my entry to their Mini Game contest.

Introduction

Genre : Puzzle / Platform

Platforms : Win XP / 7

Status : Fully Playable and Stable


The unique concept that seamlessly blends the Platformer with a puzzle game. The adventure that twists your mind to no end! The game opens with an ordinary platformer however with TWO of them simultaneously! A player is required to control both of the characters and lead them through the obstacle course.


The game is a classic representation of the age old conflict of Black and White, Good and Evil etc. With grungy looks and film grain post production effects, the game pulls the player in the unique world of black and white, where everything is not so clear despite being so simple.




Two characters, are vibrantly contrasting, both with each other and also the environment, yet they seamlessly fit in the outlandish world, which looks like an artist's lost canvas. Both greatly resembling and also vibrantly contrasting, they seem to be the only living things inside the beautiful, yet desolate world.



Player must control both of them simultaneously, which in fact is easy because both of them are controlled by the same set of keys. e.g. Pressing Left will cause both characters to move left, provided the path is clear. Players muct guide both of them, without leaving either behind on a simple quest of collecting the classic Gold coins. And this is where the trouble begins...
